211- Audio/Video Cabinet
1.
If using a
laptop, disconnect the VGA cable
provided from the desktop system and connect to your laptop.
a.
Use your own appropriate MAC adapter (________ to VGA) if needed. Please plan ahead. It is impossible for the department to keep
up with everyone’s custom system.
b.
Plug in the computer audio cable into the desktop
headphone jack or laptop headphone jack.
The cord should be found connected to the black cabinet.
2.
Turn on the
desktop computer or your laptop.
3.
Press the RED MAIN POWER switch on the black cabinet. (It should light red). Wait
1-2 minutes for cabinet to boot up.
4.
Press the Screen Down Button to lower the screen.
5.
Press the VP On button to turn on the Video
Projector. A red light should show up on the button. Wait 1-2 minutes to see an image.
6.
On the black cabinet, press the laptop button to activate computer usage.

DVD-DVD (make
sure “Progressive” NOT LIT!
b.
VCR-VCR
c.
RCA-AUX (external
video device plugged into yellow, red, white socket)
7.
You should see an
image on the projector.
8.
Double-check your
computer resolution settings for desired image.
9.
When finished,
turn off the projector by pressing VP
Off and switch off the main power.
· Do not adjust color setting as the projector has been
calibrated for cinema viewing.
· Always wait 1-2 minutes for black cabinet to boot up
and for projector to display. If you do
not do this, you will have to reboot the system.
